First-page critique of your work, here at TKZ

We're launching another round of first-page critiques  here at TKZ! You can send us the first page of your manuscript (anonymously, of course!), and we'll critique it. Sound good?

Here's how it works: Send the first page (350 words max) of your manuscript  as a Word attachment, along with the title, to the email address killzoneblog at gmail dot com. (We'll take the first 33 submissions we receive over a month's period, first come first served.) The pages will be divvied up among the Killers. From time to time we'll post each page, and do a critique. Everyone will be able to comment as well.

Last year we had great fun doing this exercise! We're looking forward to reading some of your pages!

Sounds like it'll be cool, but don't think TKZ readers are into YA, so guess I'll just read the critiques.

Page submitted! Hope you all like it.

We're happy to read any genre including YA, JaxPop! I wrote four YAs under a pseudonym. That's how I got my start writing mysteries.

Thanks, John, and to our other submitters so far!

I enjoyed this last year. It gave me valuable feedback that I'm using.

We enjoy doing this, and I hope it helps. I submitted page one last time and got my ass kicked, but it sure told me what the weakness was and how to fix it.

Yahoo!!Hit me with your best shot ...I ate my Wheaties this morning and have covered my entire body with Moleskin ... I can hack it.

Yeah, good timing since I'm starting to send queries on a new novel and I want the first page to be as enticing as possible.

Thanks for doing this--it really helps!

I've sent mine! Does it matter that I've published my book on Kindle? If so, just disregard my submission. Thanks for doing this, you guys are awesome!

I submitted mine last year and got some great advice. I highly recommend it to anyone thinking of submitting.

Hope I'm in time. Just now sending mine in. Sounds like a chance for some good feedback.

I also submitted a page and got my ass kicked:) it's a great tool for us all to have a first page critique. I really enjoyed it last year and look forward to reading this year's entries.

Jordan, no worries if you've already pubbed on Kindle. Clare, John, I think we all got our "arses" kicked last year in the free-flowing feedback. But sounds like we're all game for more!

Ok, I submitted this morning. Hopefully got it in on time. I was wondering whether I wanted to do this or not all day yesterday, then I thought if I can't handle the thoughts of those I admire or my peers, I'm not ready for prime time. So I bucked up.... hopefully quick enough.
